Privacy Policy

The short version: your videos never leave your device. We collect a small amount of anonymous usage data to improve Adapterry, and never anything about what is in your files.

Your videos

Adapterry processes every video inside your browser tab using FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Your files are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. We never see, store or receive them.

What we collect

We collect anonymous usage data to see how Adapterry is used and where it breaks. This includes a random ID stored in your browser's local storage, your country (worked out at the network edge, not your exact location), your browser, device and operating system family, the page you visited, and the kind of site that sent you here (for example, a search engine), not its address.

For each job we record the format names, the number of files, rough ranges for size and duration (for example, 100 MB to 1 GB), whether the job succeeded, and an error code if it did not.

What we never collect

We never collect file names, folder paths, thumbnails or any part of your videos' content. There is no account, so we don't ask for your name or email address.

Cookies and trackers

Adapterry does not use advertising trackers or tracking cookies. The random ID lives in your browser's local storage, and you can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, Adapterry sends no usage data at all.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Adapterry changes. When we do, we will update the date below.
