How to convert WEBM to VOB
Choose the WEBM
Drop the .webm file onto the page. For a disc with several clips in a row, add them all in order.
Create the VOB
Select VOB and click Convert to VOB. The video is re-encoded to MPEG-2 at DVD size and the Opus sound to AC3.
Hand it to your DVD software
Download the VOB. There is no preview in the browser, so open it in your DVD authoring software to check it.
Why people use Adapterry
Nothing is uploaded
Your videos are processed in your browser and never leave your device.
No account needed
Open the page and start. No email, no password.

Your video comes out clean, with no logo stamped on it.
Works offline
Once the page and video engine have loaded, you can keep working without an internet connection.
Supported formats
Add MP4, MOV, AVI, VOB, MKV, WebM, MPG, M4V, 3GP, TS or MTS files, or a mix, and get back one MP4, MOV, AVI or VOB, or an MP3 of the sound. MP4 plays almost everywhere.
From the web to DVD-Video
DVD video is MPEG-2 at 720x480 and 29.97 fps (NTSC) or 720x576 and 25 fps (PAL). Adapterry chooses one from the frame rate of your WEBM, and picks widescreen or 4:3 from its shape, with black bars rather than stretching.
A portrait recording keeps its shape with bars at the sides. WEBM is always fully converted, so long videos take a while. The VOB is the video for your disc, not the disc itself: DVD authoring software adds menus and burns it.
Questions and answers
Does my WEBM end up as NTSC or PAL?
It depends on its frame rate. Adapterry picks 29.97 fps NTSC or 25 fps PAL to suit the video.
What happens to a vertical screen recording on a DVD?
DVD pictures are landscape, so the recording keeps its shape with black bars on both sides instead of being stretched.
Why is the VOB lower resolution than my WEBM?
DVD-Video has a fixed size: 720x480 or 720x576. An HD WEBM is scaled down to fit the DVD standard.
Can I burn the VOB straight to a disc?
Not as a playable DVD. Import it into DVD authoring software, which builds the disc and its menus and burns it.
Is the Opus audio kept in the VOB?
No. DVD-Video uses AC3, also called Dolby Digital, so the sound is converted to AC3.
